Though not top, Ad Hoc Networks is one of the best journals (Q1, top10%) in the field of wireless networking. The reviews are serious and solid, and the review cycles are at most 3 months per round. This is the journal to try after failing in IEEE Transactions or if you don’t feel confident enough for trying in IEEE Transactions in the first place. The visibility of the papers published in this journal are also good, leading up to a good citation score.
